This group is geared for parents who want to understand themselves and their teen better and learn how to cope more effectively with their emotions. DBT skills are powerful parenting tools that help teach how to better navigate emotional reactions in order to be a more effective parent, spouse, child, sibling, friend, boss or co-worker. The group is meant for parents who have either gone through the Adolescent DBT program and wish to continue working on their DBT skills or for parents who feel their current parenting skills are not effective, for whatever reason, with their adolescent. Group meets on Mondays from 4:45 to 5:30 and there is an 8-week minimum commitment. This is a fee-for-service program.
